The current Continental lineup: Bentley Continental, Bentley Continental GTC, and Bentley Continental Flying Spur.
In 2002, Bentley presented Queen Elizabeth II with an official State Limousine to celebrate the Golden Jubilee. In 2003, Bentley’s 2-door convertible, the Bentley Azure, ceased production, and the company introduced the Bentley Continental GT, a large luxury coupe. The car is powered by a version of VW’s W-12 engine.
Demand has been so great that the factory at Crewe, Cheshire, has been unable to satisfy demand despite producing 4,500 vehicles a year and there is a waiting list of over a year for new cars to be delivered. Consequently there are proposals to produce the new model Flying Spur, a four-door version of the Continental GT (140.000 Euros) in Dresden in the same factory where the VW Phaeton luxury car is made.
In April, 2005, Bentley confirmed plans to produce a 4-seat convertible model, the Azure, derived from the Arnage Drophead Coupe prototype, at Crewe beginning in 2006. By the fall of 2005, the convertible version of the successful Continental GT, the Continental GTC was also presented.
Bentley sales have been strong in 2005 with 8,627 sold worldwide, 3,654 of these vehicles were sold in the United States.

The Bentley Rapier
Here is something very very special. A Bentley Special. But not on the same level as the standard Bentley Special made in the shed out the back from a rusty Mark IV.The car is so special that it is just a Bentley model that you have probably not heard of. It is presumed to be the 1996 Bentley Rapier. With the number plate JB 3 it does not stand for James Bond, but rather Jefri Bolkiah. That is Prince Jefri Bolkiah, brother to the Sultan of Brunei. The playboy prince. Yes, the one who has a mega yacht called SS Tits, with tenders Nipple I and Nipple II.It is claimed that Prince Jefri Bolkiah spent three quarters of a million dollars a day every day for a decade. You would get a sore hand from swiping the credit card.I certainly do not mind because we get to look at this. The Bentley Rapier. The Bentley Rapier was made in 1996 at the height of Prince Jefri’s spending spree. A total of six Rapiers where made and all have successive VIN numbers. The Rapier is a coach build car made in Crewe on the special Sultan ‘ZH’ chassis. The ZH chassis was the bases for a number of other coach built cars from Crewe that were delivered to the Royal Family of Brunei. The car features a 6.75 Litre V8 single Garrett turbocharger non-catalyst engine, and has twin air bags and has right hand drive. The Bentley Rapier has the same alloy wheels as another coachbuilt car on the ZH chassis called the Bentley Buccaneer which can be read about here.It is a very rare sight to see the Rapier on the streets of London. The six were first registered in Brunei, but it is pretty easy to move cars around the world when you have 17 planes and many boats. The number plate JB 3 was previously on a Bentley Continential R also owned by the Royal Family of Brunei. Here are the six cars VIN numbers, name and Brunei registration plate numbers.SCBZH16D7TCH00428 Bentley Rapier KF 9111SCBZH16C7TCH00429 Bentley Rapier BP 220 SCBZH16C6TCH00430 Bentley Rapier KF 9991SCBZH16C8TCH00431 Bentley Rapier KF 9555SCBZH16CXTCH00432 Bentley Rapier BQ 7592SCBZH16C1TCH00433 Bentley Rapier KF 9996There are very limitied photographs of these Bentley Brunei Specials and here are some other known images of the Rapier in very low resolution. For more on Royal cars on Bentleyspotting filter posts by the label Sultans, Shieks, Kings and Queens.Special mention to Basman007, a Brunei car addict.

Aston Martin Lagonda Vignale
Показанный на Женевском Автосалоне 1993 года Aston Martin Lagonda Vignale от студии Ghia был построен на базе… Lincoln Town Car (тогда, если вы помните, компания Aston Martin принадлежала Ford).
